This fine art print is inspired by Surati, a traditional folk and ritual art form associated with the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Traditionally created during auspicious occasions such as Diwali and Mahalakshmi Puja, Surati transforms walls and floors into sacred spaces through intricate geometric patterns, symbolic motifs, and devotional imagery. My artwork brings together the traditional visual language of Surati with a richly textured, contemporary surface. The composition features geometric patterns, the Sun and Moon, Swastika motifs, sacred lamps, floral elements, kalash, and symbolic figures, all enclosed within an elaborate decorative border inspired by traditional Bundelkhand designs. At the heart of the artwork is the deeply rooted symbolism of light, prosperity, protection, and auspiciousness. The lamps represent enlightenment, while the Sun and Moon evoke the eternal cycle of light and time. The geometric forms create a sense of balance, harmony, and continuity.

This fine art print is reproduced from my original painting, preserving the intricate details, earthy colours, textures, and cultural character of the original artwork.
